All About Dogs

Before you dive in to all we have to offer, we want to tell you a little bit about what this website is all about. EntirelyDog.com is all about dogs. We think our name says it all. This site is devoted to the pets that are so devoted to us. We absolutely love our pets and assume you do too or you wouldn't be here.

First and foremost we want you to have the best possible relationship with your pet, and the best way to get that is through proper training. We believe in training our dogs from when they are small puppies. Not only is a well trained pet an absolute joy, but just the procedure itself will help you bond with your dog. Our goal is to teach you how to do it right, whether you are training a Chihuahua, Boxer or Great Dane. But that's only the beginning to learning all about dogs.

Of course to properly train your pet you will need a few small accessories. A dog collar and a leash or harness will be just a few of the things you'll have to have. There are so many different types available and we'll show you what leashes and collars work best, and let you know where you can get them and all your dog products at a reasonable cost.

And for housebreaking, we believe the best place for your dog to go is outside, and we think crate training is the best way to go about it. We'll go into the details on how to do this elsewhere, and we'll also be recommending our favorite crates and carriers. And for when accidents occur, did you know there is a trick to cleaning up the urine so he won't go back to the same area? There is. And we'll tell you all about it.

We all want our pets to be healthy, and that means serving the right dog food, or making your own. If you want recipes for making homemade dog food, we'll show you where to get the best ones, plus give you a few of our own. And if you simply want to buy natural dog food, we'll help you out there as well.

Also on these pages you'll find out where you can get other items you may need. We'll show you what we think are the best products, from luxury heated dog houses (if your pet will be outside a lot in the winter) to the more standard house, and designer clothing for both large and small breeds. Your dog needs toys and we'll teach you how to pick out the ones that are safe. He'll need a bed to sleep in, and we'll show you what pet beds are best and why.

If your have a long haired breed you'll want to know how to groom him properly and where to get good grooming supplies. Our goal is to add at least three articles a week to this website to help you with the journey. So check back often, chances are you'll eventually find exactly what you are looking for. Or better yet, subscribe to our RSS feed and you'll automatically be notified as soon as we post something new.

On the left hand navigation menu you'll see about a dozen different categories. Each one of these categories will direct you to numerous articles about the subject. Naturally some will have more articles than others, but we hope to have everything you want or need to know included. And if you ever have trouble finding what you are looking for, you can always use the search box provided near the top of each page.

If all this sounds like there is a lot to owning a dog, it's because there is. As we said, there is a lot to learn if you want to learn all about dogs. And you should know up front that there is work involved. But it anything you put into your relationship with your pet will come back to you one hundred times over. Owing a dog is both a responsibility and a joy. So look around, and don't be afraid to tell us what you think.
